Your July Fun List (For Real Life, Not Pinterest)
Hey friend,
If you’re in that “I love summer but I’m over this heat” stage — trust us, same.
Between the humidity, restless kids, and the urge to wander Costco just to soak in the AC (and leave with a $14 pineapple float and $300 worth of snacks)… it’s a lot.
So from all of us at Lone Star Luxe Real Estate, we put together a little Summer Survival List for Colorado County. Whether you’re wrangling kiddos, trying to stay cool, or just need to get out of the house without blowing your whole budget — we’ve got you.
Here’s what’s on our radar this July:
🌊 Splashway Waterpark in Sheridan – Easy drive, tons of fun for all ages, and a lazy river you’ll catch us floating in on our day off.
🌳 Colorado River Refuge & Nature Trail in Columbus – Shady trails, peaceful river views, and space to run wild (kids or grownups).
🍑 Moravia Fruit Stand & Peach Season in La Grange – The peaches are peaking and yes, we are 100% in it for the cobbler.
🎶 Live music at Hound Song Brewing Co. – Great local beer, live bands on weekends, and a family-friendly vibe with picnic tables and fans.
🎥 Friday night movies at Beason’s Park – Bring chairs, snacks, bug spray — and maybe a fan. It’s small-town magic at its finest.
🍦 Ice cream run to Schobels in Columbus – Classic Texas diner-style and perfect for cooling off after errands or an open house.
You don’t need a plane ticket or Pinterest-perfect plans to make the most of July. Sometimes all it takes is a good list, a cooler full of drinks, and a willingness to play tourist in your own town.
Stay cool out there —
